The Fifth CMI Symposium was successfully held with attendance of many people.
We have posted the presentation materials, so please refer to it.

The world’s aircraft industry is maintaining a high rate of growth of 5% per year by the development of globalization. Besides, aiming improvement in fuel efficiency, difficult-to-cut materials, for example, CFRP, titanium and Al-Li alloy, are being applied to aircrafts to make the airframe lighter. For high performance cutting of these materials, development of new manufacturing technology is necessary.
In April 2013,CMI, a project through industry-university-government collaboration was launched for this purpose.
